OUR CHURCH

Organized in 1866, Angel Visit Baptist Church is one of the oldest African-American church in  Essex County Virginia. The church burned in 1917, and the present 350-seat sanctuary opened in 1919. In October of 2003, the Reverend Dr. Carla E. Lightfoot was elected  the tenth pastor of Angel Visit.
